Compliments to Sarena for this portrait of me.
My passion for photography unexpectedly began during my senior year of high school. I joined the class in hopes to expand my knowledge on photoshop. Funny right? However, as time went on, I started taking the class and my assignments more seriously. That, of course, gave me a deep appreciation for storytelling through images.
In high school, I was drawn to how photography could freeze a moment in time, capturing not just what we see, but how we feel. Whether it was a candid shot of a friend, a landscape from a family trip, or a random object that caught my eye, I found myself looking at the world through a different lens.
Recognizing my growing passion for this fine art, I decided to expand my knowledge by taking a black and white film photography class in college. There, I was introduced to the fundamentals of light, composition, and the beauty of analog processes. I love how film forced me to slow down and be intentional with every shot.
Having the privilege of shooting both film and digital photography, Iām able to apply my knowledge to deliver the best images possible.
